Operations Internal Communications (OIC) is responsible for communicating need-to-know information to Amazon’s global network of warehouse workers. As an internal video team of 7, our main objective is to create content that educates, informs, and inspires an internal audience of 1.2 million people.

I transferred to OIC in 2021 as the team’s second video-hire, and at the time, was the team’s sole videographer and editor. Three years later, I’m now our Head of Video Production, have helped scale our team from two to seven and manage a team of internal and external editors.

Leadership Messages

Leaders at Amazon recognize that video is the best way to communicate timely, important messages. I’ve had the opportunity to work directly with our CEO and several of our VPs. On-set, I’m responsible for coaching them through scripted messages and ensuring they come across well to our associate audience.

Career Advancement Stories

Most associates view Amazon as a temporary or seasonal job. As the content lead for career mobility and upskilling stories, I’ve spent the last three years traveling across the country interviewing our employees. My goal is to shift that narrative and show that long-lasting careers can be built here, because if associates can see, hopefully they believe they can be it.

Safety and Benefits

At Amazon, people are at the heart of our operations. Customers don’t receive their items if our employees aren’t happy and safe, that’s why we offer benefits on day one and keep safety top-of-mind with everything we do.

Business Line Operations

Our operations network covers a lot of different business lines, From customer fulfillment, Air, grocery, and more, our team covers it all.
